When our eyes open to a new day,
rising from a warm bed,
and it’s a Friday,
and the sun is rising in view,
and spring is in the air,
and food and drink are at our fingertips,
and we live under a roof with loved ones,
and the house is warm,
and we wash with warm water,
and we dress in clean clothes,
and we look forward to our tasks, our school, our work for the day,
and we will see friends,
and make plans to go out,
and pick up things we need,
and watch a movie,
and it’s quiet, peaceful …
then we remember.
We remember those in Ukraine.
Those whose days looked just like ours only days ago.
weep with those who weep
Romans 12:15
Heartbreaking, my prayers are with them.
Amen to the heartbreak and the prayers.

When I think of The Ukraine I remember a dear friend back in Scranton, her kindness and gentle humor. How terrifying it is to watch an evil man sending an army to crush others just like her. How sad yet we need to put the weeping away so that we can pray. Whether Ukraine remains free or temporarily enslaved God is still in control and He will have the final word. Blessings my friend.
Yes, he is in control! And oh, how we can pray.

This is so true. We never know how our day may end….but if we know Him, He does and He is always with us. Prayers for the people, prayers for the world.
Yes, he is always with us … the greatest comfort available.
When all we can do is pray, we do a great, great thing!
